Seeking a Passionate Co-Founder (Equity) to Fight Food Waste in Turkey! šŸ‡¹šŸ‡·

Hey amazing Bubblers!

My name is Khaled daher and I’m a university student based in Turkey. I’m reaching out with a project that I’m incredibly passionate about, and I’m looking for a partner to help me bring this dream to life.

(A quick note: I speak fluent Arabic and Turkish, and a little English, so I’m well-equipped to manage the on-the-ground launch here!)

**The Mission: Solving Food Waste in Turkey**

In Turkey, just like in the rest of the world, thousands of restaurants, bakeries, and cafes throw away perfectly good food every single night. It’s a huge environmental problem and a massive financial loss.

I want to solve this.

The Project: ā€œFazla İyiā€ (The ā€œToo Good To Goā€ of Turkey)

I am building Fazla İyi (which translates to ā€œToo Goodā€ / ā€œGood Surplusā€).

It’s a Bubble-powered web app that will connect these stores with customers. Stores will be able to sell their surplus food at the end of the day as a ā€œMagic Bagā€ (Sürpriz Kutu) at a huge discount.

It’s a true win-win-win:

1. Stores stop losing money on unsold food.

2. Customers (especially students like me!) get amazing food for a low price.

3. The Planet wins by reducing food waste.

What I Need: A Bubble Co-Founder

This is where you come in. I am not a developer, but I am the ā€œboots-on-the-ground.ā€ I am ready to handle 100% of the business side: marketing, operations, and personally signing up the first 10, 20, even 100 restaurants in my city.

I am looking for a **passionate Bubble developer** to be my **technical partner**.

Your role would be to lead the development of the MVP (Minimum Viable Product). This includes:

* Building the database structure (Users, Stores, Orders).

* Creating the user-facing side (the map/list of stores, booking).

* Creating the store-facing dashboard (adding/managing the ā€œMagic Bagsā€).

* Integrating a Turkish payment gateway (like Iyzico or PayTR).

**The Offer (The ā€œHonestā€ Part)**

Because I am a student, I don’t have the capital to pay a large freelance fee. I am putting all my time and energy into this, but I cannot offer thousands of dollars upfront.

So, I am not offering a ā€œjob.ā€ I am offering a **true partnership**.

I am offering a **significant and fair equity stake (a % of the company)** to the right person. You won’t be a freelancer; you will be a co-founder. We will build this together, launch it together, and share in the success together.

If you are a Bubbler who wants to build something *meaningful*, solve a real-world problem, and co-own a project in the massive 85-million-person Turkish market, I would be honored to talk to you.

Please reply here or send me a DM! I’m excited to share more.

Thank you

Khalid daher

Yeah, they do that here in the US with the

app. I am not sure how the developer gets paid though. But a cool idea to reduce waste in Turkey as well.

Hi Khaled,

Definitely a good idea and a problem to be solved.
I’m overloaded with my own projects.
From what I know, probably you know as well, it’s a problem already solved in US.

I mean in case you didn’t knew, check them how was their roadmap and functionality. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the company.

God luck!

Yes, the Too Good To Go App is in somewhere around 20 some countries including Turkey.

Haven’t used it here in the U.S., but I guess it’s got a lot of users.

Good luck with your project, I’m sure there’s always room for more good

Yes, this application is available in several countries around the world, but not in Turkey. I want to implement it in Turkey because I found the Turkish market has a strong need for it.

Bu proje için uygun bir isim önerdiğiniz için teşekkür ederiz; bunu dikkate alacağız.

Ok, I see.

I had read about the app on reddit before and how they were growing and had thought they mentioned Turkey.

But, you live there, so I guess you would know.

Anyway, good luck with your project

If you don’t mind, if you remember the link to the article on Reddit, could you please send it to me?
However, in Türkiye there is no such application, and I conducted a study in the restaurants in my area and found that they suffer from food waste every day.

Soon with the street dogs gone, I don’t know either.

@khaloud1000 Hey,
You can count on me for all technical aspect of this product, and i want you handle the business side.
check my site book a meeting or ping me on whatsapp and let chat about it

@khaloud1000 I know this idea work like a wild fire , spacialy in cities like Istanbul , Antalya and ankara

@khaloud1000 i just messaged you…. We could be a good fit

There is also the ā€˜Misfits Market’ which is popular in the U.S. Don’t know if you’ve heard of it or if it’s popular where you live. It’s a pretty neat concept also. Maybe you could also add something like that to your app? It’s basically like the other app, but it’s for food waste from grocery stores

Just curious though, why can’t existing players like DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Yemeksepeti implement a similar ā€œsurplus foodā€ feature within their existing platforms? They already have the logistics, merchant network, and delivery flow. So I’m wondering what gap you see that creates space for a new platform here?

Either they are big enough they dont need this or they haven’t thought about it.

It is like saying why Yemeksepeti don’t open restaurants, capitalizm works in distribution channels.
