Hello everyone,
This is a proposal for someone who wants to take the fleshed out bones of what we’ve already built, and provide their web skills and user acquisition knowledge to promote and collaborate for growth, in return for an equity partnership. This is completely bootstrapped.
I’m Daniel from Data Designs, Inc., the mind behind a financial tool designed specifically for day traders and swing traders. Over the past year, I have created an advanced web app in Bubble that addresses the needs of traders who specialize in morning gap fades. If you know what that is then you are already someone I’m interested in talking to.
Specifically, it calculates real-world statistical probabilities of gap fills occurring between 1-5 days, and incorporates a built-in screener. It gets its data from a variety of paid financial data providers, and I am now in the process of integrating AI capabilities into a proprietary scoring system. In other words, we are incurring overhead and not doing this on the cheap.
As I tread forward, I have a robust roadmap to enhance this app further in many functional ways. However, I recognize that a powerful tool is only as good as its reach and usability.
The app is FREE for anyone to use at this point. Simply create an account or log in via the usual OAuth entry points. However we have no users yet because it is brand new.
GOALS: Create a meaningful user base of free users, track how often they log in, stay on, and other meaningful metrics. Use this to demonstrate traction and guide monetization of the site/app and create a persuasive plan for potential investment. I have worked with investors before in other areas and am familiar with the process however arduous it can be.
That’s where you come in…
What I’m looking for:
Someone who is familiar with investing and or trading and who understands some basic concepts around that.
User Acquisition Expert / Web Design Maverick: Someone who can strategize and execute plans to ramp up our user base. Again, this app is free at the moment, and our goal is to garner traction, demonstrating its potential to prospective investors.
Our current website is built in WebFlow. While it serves its purpose, it’s lame. We’re seeking someone with the creativity and technical prowess to give it a complete professional facelift, making it more user-friendly, sharp and visually appealing. Additionally, you bring ideas on how to bootstrap user growth without a budget for advertising. At some point we will allocate funds for advertising, but at the moment we would like to implement an organic approach for user acquisition and see how far that takes us over the next six months or more.
My background over the last 30 years has been in design, marketing and programming but I do not have the bandwidth on this to do the web design and organic marketing.
What’s in it for you?
An equity stake in our software (to be discussed). You won’t just be a freelancer, you’ll be an integral part of a project that has the potential to be a viable investment. Given my past experience in raising capital for other projects, I can assure you that this venture is not being viewed as just another pipe dream. However, as anything life, there is no guarantees that it could go anywhere.
Basically, all the heavy lifting of writing and creating the app has been done. We are carrying the overhead for the APIs and other expenses. Now, I need someone who can help drive traffic and augment the web/blog piece with design and SEO skills.
Closing Note:
If you’re someone who’s looking to leave a mark, someone who believes in not just working on a project but owning it, then we’re on the same page. Let’s embark on this journey together and create something that currently does not exist. At the moment, we are the only tool of this kind and I am familiar with this because I am also an options and futures trader who has looked for this type of tool for 20 years.
Interested candidates, please DM me with a brief overview about how you envision taking this app to the next level. I love writing these kinds of financial / trading dashboards, but I don’t have the bandwidth currently to augment our web presence and get creative about how to drive free users to jump in and start playing with it. This is because my company is working on a 7-figure medical-related project of ours at the moment, but I have enough time to collaborate with the right partner on this one.
We are in Portland, Oregon and ideally would like to keep this partnership domestic, if not local, but I’m open to discuss.
Looking forward to innovative collaboration!
Warm regards,
Daniel Underhill
