SEO dynamic pages

I am having some issues with SEO on dynamic pages.

I have an article page where I have set the title and description of the (dynamic) page to be title and intro. However, on the Google search itself, that is not what’s showing. Title is correct, but the description is not - here I’m getting random parts of the text as the description. On some searches first part of third section, others on second part of third section…

Does anyone have any idea why this could be? (Should it not be the field that is set as the ‘Description (SEO)’?

Happens to my articles as well. I think Google can override the SEO description that is displayed sometimes. That might be the case is you have H2 headers on the page. I suggest checking that your tags are well organized (just one H1, H2 for subtitles etc…)

There’s no way to control what Goolge displays on its search pages as the ‘snippet’ for your page in its results.

Google used to use the meta description, but nowadays it rarely does (it does sometimes if it decides it’s the most relevant thing to show), but more usually it either takes what it determines to be the most relevant content from the page for the specific user/search-term, or it uses AI to generate a relevant summary based on the page content and the search term. So the snippet it displays is often different from one user to another, for the same page, depending on the term the User was searching for.
