Setting state on group vs page

Hi all,

I’m wondering if it’s better (in terms of speed, organization, or some other quality) to set states on groups vs pages. For example, I want Group A to show only when Page State is A, but then the content within Group A will change based on a second state. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to setting the second state on Group A vs Page? Both work fine, just wondering if there are things I’m missing or unaware of.

There’s really no set best practice for it, and from a performance perspective, it doesn’t make any difference.

It does make sense, like you suggest, to try and remain consistent in terms of organization.

If you plan to bring reusable elements into it, you’ll need to plan for the fact that you can only reach the “page” level of the reusable from the outside, so any group within the reusable will be unreachable.
