Hi Bubble Community,

As many small developers and agencies in Europe, we’re facing a challenge: GDPR requirements for client apps are serious, but Bubble’s Enterprise plan is not affordable for small devs.

I’m exploring if we could form a shared structure: a cooperative group of developers sharing an Enterprise account (or if Bubble could support this model in the future). The goal: make GDPR-compliant hosting available to startups, small agencies, and indie developers.

Is anyone interested to brainstorm? Anyone already doing something similar? Perhaps Bubble could consider a GDPR-compliant shared plan for small independent developers.

You can build a GDPR compliant app with US shared cluster hosting.

Bubble wouldn’t let you do that, and it’d be a bad idea for many reasons, some of which are:

  • one app with a runaway workflow would cause performance degradation for every app on the instance
  • Bubble has to create new apps on the dedicated instance for you
  • Bubble would probably stop you ‘reselling’ it
