Should I cancel my agency plan?

I’ve been on the agency plan for more than a year now. I initially used it for plugin testing and some initial support for my clients - it didn’t add much value to my life. Then I discovered something, LEAD GENERATION. I never used it before since I never needed it. I was a solopreneur and had more than enough work. Had.

The Lead Generation Tab allowed me to get in touch with people looking to build Bubble apps and help them out. My agency started growing again, until I stopped getting leads altogether. I was last matched in June and the number of leads I’ve been getting has plummeted.

I don’t need the agency plan for anything else now. Just the lead generation feature was adding value to my life at this point, but that too has gotten extremely slow. Is this the case with everyone? Should I give the agency plan one more shot? Should I let it go and try other avenues? It costs $85 per month, which isn’t huge - but it’s not giving me any value at this point.

@fede.bubble is there anything you could share on how the RFP system is fairing at the moment? This post just after the recent Upwork post seems to indicate a real demand side slide for paid development work for bubble apps and wondering if Bubble could provide some insight into this.

Dido!

Agency plan is too expensive in my opinion, that’s why I unsubscribed after the price hike. The idea of charging significant money to the developers, a fundamental engine behind bubble’s success and growth, to work with clients is an outrageously greedy tactic in my opinion. In fact, bubble should be encouraging developers to work on as many projects as possible and remove all barriers of entry. Alas, it’s not my company but I can’t justify paying over 1000$ a year to have the privilege to work on projects with clients who are also paying bubble.

That’s it for my rant.

Cheers

I think the lack of an answer here is an answer in itself…

Dude, he posted at my 3:30am. Give me a chance to wake up and grab some breakfast at least?

@aleemansari97 you are right, leads from our RFP system have slowed down in 2026. There’s no point in arguing that facts because all agency owners are experiencing it.

I think what deserves nuance is the why. It is true that the market has pivoted towards vibecoding so demand for Bubble apps has changed. But even a bigger factor (in my opinion) is the fact that the AI narrative for the past 2 years has been that anyone can DIY anything. From planning workouts to building businesses. So there’s a growing trend with new users, including those coming to Bubble, to try and building their apps themselves with the help of AI before they even consider paying someone else for help.
I mean, let’s be honest here: your agency listed project budget starts at $5k per project, and we are talking about the agency account being too expensive for $1k a year. I think it’s easy to see why people might prefer to pay $25/mo for Claude and try to figure it out on their own.

Yeah, I agree but just like I said above, I think AI is democratizing access to building apps, and people are less inclined to pay for a professional at first. Once they try, they get stuck or they realize complexity is much higher than anticipated then sure, they probably go and hire someone. However, since most ideas are MVPs that never see real traffic that tinkering with AI also means more people are giving up on their ideas quicker. Before someone might’ve spent 3-5k with a dev and then given up (or failed as a business).

There’s definitely room for improvement. Something I’m hoping to bring up to the team soon given the slowdown in leads

Yeah, we will be cancelling our agency plan soon for that exact reason as well. We barely get any leads anymore. As soon as we don’t need it anymore to connect to our clients’ apps, it will be useless. We have 6 developers, so that would be 6 x $85 for us. Not worth it for us anymore.

For me the biggest benefit of the agency plan is being able to be a user on a clients site when they are on a lower tier. But as my work focus is moving in a different direction this is representing less value.

Whilst initially the leads it was generating felt exciting the quality was really really low. So many didn’t reply to reasonable requests for more information. Many of the leads were poorly spec’d (and I am happy to work creatively with founders, that is a USP of mine, but most were really poorly thought out ideas and with very little route to be commercially viable).

I even “won” as bid and then heard nothing further. It’s doesn’t seem to be a very mature system for what is it supposed to be. It feels very one way, where as a developer it feels very stacked in the favour of the potential clients.
