Hi, I’m looking for some wisdom. I’m debating whether to start an agency account. I’ve done a few tutorials and have a fundamental understanding, but my latest course mentions that I need access to backend workflows that aren’t available on the free account. I wonder if any of you guys can give me an insight into whether it’s worth diving in now or if I should just learn as much as possible before I shell out for the agency account. I am a way off actually taking on any clients or producing any app, but wonder if getting an agency account might help with learning and give me any kind of 'edge". Would really appreciate anyone’s views or advice. Thanks in advance.
Bro you don’t need that
Hey @Tony_K , if you’re just looking to gain experience and learn by doing, signing up one of your apps to the Starter plan (or the 2week free trial) will give you access to all the functionality you need, and also allow you to deploy this to a custom domain and into production when you’re ready to demonstrate your skills to the world!
Agency accounts are only appropriate when you are building apps for others and do come with their own restrictions while in development before moving each individual app to their own paid subscription (e.g. password protection on the production app etc.)
Good luck!
Oh wow, that really helps! Thank you. Yes, that makes perfect sense. That actually hits hard on a thought I had just before I posted this. I thought to myself that even with an agency account I’ll still need an initial app anyway, whether it’s my portfolio or a starter app. Thank you both for putting me straight AND saving me a boat load of money!
