When trying to show a hidden group inside a Short List (or Vertical List) in the mobile builder, the “Show” or “Hide” actions don’t work. That’s because elements inside these lists are dynamically generated for each item, and Bubble isn’t able to directly target them with workflow actions like “Show” or “Hide,” which rely on referencing a specific, static element.
Is this really true that this is the intended behavior? No actions on elements will be possible inside a list?
This was support’s response to a bug report. I just can’t believe it.
Credibility is pretty low on this because in the same breath they told me the correct way to do it was to use custom states even though half of the bug report was about how custom states don’t work in this context either.
Eager to hear whether support doubles down on this position for your ticket or gives another answer.
Isn’t that similar to trying to show or hide something in a repeating group, which you can’t do ‘natively’ either I believe. Right? I’m not near my computer to test, so I could be remembering incorrectly.
Is there any workaround? I tried the toggle to show a text when tapping a group inside the shortlistitem and doesnt work, also tried creating the group with workflows in a reusable element and then adding the reusable element to the shortlist, tried custom state with a conditional on an element to make the text visible when custom state value is yes and didnt work. Anyone?? Isnt this like a TOP PRIORITY feature??
