So Drag & Drop doesn't work for touchscreens?

I’ve noticed that my app’s Drag & Drop feature doesn’t work on my Surface Tablet, (in Microsoft Edge browser).

That is: when using the finger to drag. (With the mouse it does work)

Is this limitation exclusive to Surface?

I didn’t try it yet but I was afraid this would be an issue. I’m using a Surface Pro 8 as well. I think there’s a workflow you can trigger when you press a button to mimic the drag animation but now it’s not even drag & drop anymore.
