# \[SOLVED✅\] Unable to Add WWW A Records in Squarespace DNS

I recently encountered an issue while trying to add WWW A records for my web app in Squarespace DNS. Whenever I attempted to save the records, I kept getting the error:  
“We were unable to save this record…”

After reaching out to Squarespace support, I learned that the error occurs when the new records conflict with existing default Squarespace DNS records.

Solution:  
To fix this issue:

1. Remove Squarespace’s default DNS records before adding the new ones.  
Default records look like this:

2. After removing them, try adding your A records again—it should save without issues.

4. Note that DNS changes may take 24-72 hours to fully propagate. (Mine tool less than 24 hrs tho)
