Style variables

Hi, New here but for some reason I can’t update style variables. I can create a new style, try update the colour from #000000 but as soon as I exit it defaults to #000000. Am I missing something? I’m on the free version and not long in and it’s the first hurdle?

Nope, this shouldn’t change anything…

Are you updating it to another hex value? If so, which one?
