I wish I can time travel 3 months ahead. I want to (need to) launch a project in mid/end of February that I had been working for a while and I lost my enthusiasm when I had started to work on responsive design.
When do you think we could see this roll out or even some teasers about this? Iām very excited and itās definitely a step to fix some of bubbleās flaws and downsides!
Great news. Looking forward to testing this.
@allenyang based on your comment above do you have a sample page we can test out native implementation against?
Is zooming coming to Firefox?

I guess it doesnāt refer to the editor.
This is great news!
As a suggestion: I would like to control css properties with a panel like Webflow but more simple. Something like: parent element, positioning, padding, margin, and a few more parameters.
Canāt wait to use this.
Lol - oh the irony. I can also see a slither of the cover on the right of the text.
Indeed. For me it felt like āHereās what weāll improve, and below youāll see whyā
In either case, looking forward to see what the new āResponsive Engineā has in store, as the responsiveness (or lack thereof) has caused the biggest of my frustrations working with Bubble.
Maybe we can help - we built this page with concepts from the guide using break-points.
Just bought this.
I hope it will prevent me getting mad because of bubbleās responsive logic
Hi Allen,
Thanks for sharing good news
Can I enroll into the beta and try this please?
@allenyang this is great stuff! Canāt wait. Any idea on when youāre going to release the new responsive engine?
How is this project going? Any update will be helpful.
@allenyang, is there any kind of list of big-picture changes/features that will show up in the new responsive engine?
Particularly interested to know if the future system will support dynamic height and/or dynamic X/Y positioning in light of the move to modern CSS capabilities.
It will definitely support dynamic X/Y positioning since it will be based on Flexbox. And Iām pretty sure it will also mean support for dynamic hieghts.
However, these new features seem to be sometime away from use for general users like us.
Iām just hoping for x/y positioning with a percentage rather than fixed. It would make it so much easier to make pages responsive. Right now I have to write some javascript to replace the x/y positions with percentages and do some crazy stuff with parent div(s) to make it work right.
any update on this responsive revamp ?
Iām deciding where to develop a whole bunch of new stuff and struggling to pick up a tool, but Iād love it to be bubble. I know everybody wants to know when this will be out and committing to a deadline is a dangerous thing, but is there any way to get some indication of the timeline? If I have to wait 1 month, fine, 2, ok, 3 maybe, but Q3 probably not an option.
thanks and appreciate all the hard work, this for sure is not an easy task.
