We’re about to submit our first template to the Bubble Marketplace but I’m confused on something that seems fundamentally important:
- Our template app needs to reside under a Free plan which is inherently restricted from having collaborators, branches for managing versioning and ability to import an exported JSON version of the application
- We currently manage the master app under a paid Team Plan account that has all these ^^ capabilities.
- How though do we handle pushing future updates to the template listing under the Free account? In order to retain that linkage future changes seemingly need to be made to that app which lives under the Free account yet doing so means we lose ability to use version control and have multiple collaborators
- ChatGPT is telling me that the recommendation here is continue dev on our master app under our Team Plan account and then manually port changes over to the template listing app in the Free account. Surely that can’t be the workflow here, or is it? That seems incredibly prone to errors, a bunch of extra work and I can’t imagine all the professional app creators on Bubble are doing it this way.
What am I missing here y’all? Thanks for any guidance in advance.
