Why doesn’t transitions work with gradients?

Yop, found that out right now, so i was looking for it.
I didn´t know what was the problem, but I just discovered that my trasition work when there´s no gradient involved (neither as starting nor ending background style).
If that is a big problem to be included in bubble, it could be at least written in reference
