Hi fellow bubblers,
I’m pretty much stuck and I would highly appreciate your help!
I am working with two different data types called “Assets” and “Collections” (a collection can hold many assets). I’ve set up a repeating group to display my different collections (e.g. “Design Files”, “Marketing Files” and “Legal Files”). When I’m clicking on one of the cells in my RG, it shows a group with a RG inside that I wan’t to display only the Assets that are within the spesific Collection. The assets within the Collections are stored as unique id’s in a text field called “Assets”, as a list.
Can anyone please help me with this? Thank you!

Hi! Why are you storing the unique IDs as a list of texts? Any particular reason?
To be honest I’m not sure of what’s best practice here. On my “Assets” page, the user can select which assets (images, files etc) they wan’t to add to the different collections. In the workflow I’ve “made changes to a thing” and added the selected assets to the collection chosen, as unique ID’s. @Zeroic

You can add a field in your Collections table which is of type Assets (and check the box to make it a list)
In your UI, you can then refer to the Current cell’s Collection’s (in the outer repeating group) Assets and set that as the data source of the inner repeating group
Let me know if this makes sense
Thanks - I’ll do the changes you recommend in the database. Maybe I made my self unclear, but I’m not using nested RG’s. Is that what you’re referring to with outer and inner repeating groups? The repeating group where I wan’t to display the assets of the spesific collection is inside another group which is visible only when I’ve clicked on the collection from the other repeating group. @Zeroic

Ah okay. I thought it was a nested RepeatingGroup setup. Nevertheless, you can still use the setup I sent you above
Okay thanks. Last question I hope you can help me with - after I did the database change I’ll need to change my workflow. I’ve added before and after screen shot of the workflow, where the one with the error message is the one after changing the database. What would you suggest to do here? @Zeroic
dashboard = page
asset to collection = custom state
dropdown 1 = where user choose the Collection

Sure thing! You can just simply keep dashboard’s asset to collection. You can remove the unique ID part
By doing so, I get the error message stating: “value should be Assets but right now it’s a List of Assetses”. Any suggestions here? @Zeroic

I can take a better look over a quick call I suppose. You can use the link below
Thanks! I figured it out, I basically needed to change “add” to “add list”. Silly mistake haha. Thanks for your help
