URLs that contain a slash at the end are seperated from those that don't

It’s come to my attention that from an SEO perspective, Google recognizes two versions of each URL.

For example, “website.com/listing/productname” is an entirely different page than “website.com/listing/productname/”.

Both pages get indexed which creates duplicate content issues and hurts SEO. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance!
