User log in to create their own database

Continuing the discussion from Why I can't set a dropdown to have a default value?:

Every data type has a “Creator” field that is set when you create the thing. So it is automatic.

To "see their “own database” a user would simply log in, and any lists would then constrain what they can see to “Creator = Current User”.

Replying to this thead because I am trying to do something similar.

I want the user to click a button to create a new database “type”. Then once the "new database type is created, the user can add “type names”.

Is there a way to do this in a workflow?
