Using the App Connector with multiple versions

Has anyone been able to use the App Connector with multiple versions (not just development and test)?

There’s an option to match live and development versions so if I’m not in the live mode I should be interacting with test data. But when I’m in a version that’s not specifically development, I’m seeing live data.

Anyone face this issue?
