Website Hosting and Domain Configuration (GoDaddy)

Hi,
I just bought a domain on godaddy. Since I live in France the domain extension is .fr
I have never set up a domain or hosted a website before, so I don’t know if my settings are all right. The instructions on my bubble account are quite unclear.

I have a few questions regarding this:

  1. What goes in the “Host” field in my DNS management dashboard on godaddy?
  2. What is a TTL? And is a TTL of 600 seconds (it was by default) okay?

P.S: I am not able to leave the “Host” field empty or input ‘www’

The writing in red says it all. You should be able to add that A record if no other A record exists with the host www. That being said you will have to contact GoDaddy support.

I read some faqs on the godaddy website. I just had to put an @ to make it work. The website is running fine now. :slight_smile:

make sure you congratulate them on their awesome descriptive error message. then point out the fact that we could not only produce a more actuate message using bubble but replace www with the @ symbol. at least you wont have to twiddle thumbs waiting for support :slight_smile:
