🏆 Weekly Wins [Sept 5]

:trophy: WEEKLY WINS

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday of Wins!

This is your chance to take a pause and share with the community something …

  • … that went great
  • … you are proud of
  • … that made you happy this week
  • …

It’s now September and with that a lot of exciting opportunities are starting to peak over the horizon.

My weekly win involves a personal milestone: I’ve been training for the NYC Marathon this November and I’m now at the point where I feel comfortable with 13-16 mile runs (I don’t feel sore the next day, I don’t feel utterly destroyed and tired, etc). Super exciting to see the plan coming together and getting to that 20-26 mile range without injuries!

That is an awesome weekly win!

I posted on here somewhere before, amongst my other ramblings, that I get up every morning and run. It makes the whole day go better.

It’s the perfect time of the year to run, at least where I live here in Ohio, because it’s around 50 degrees every morning, which is the prime temperature to run in.

I’m not in marathon shape. I do run a 10 miler about once a week. And, I did buy a new pair of Brooks running shoes last week

Anyway, 13 to 16 mile runs are awesome. You’re doing good and getting in great shape!

Running makes you feel great all day long.

Congratulations. I hope you do good in the marathon!

Realtor confirmed the house I built can be sold for 3x. The land I own that it sits on is worth 2x. I can sell the house, retain land ownership, and charge a monthly lease fee on the land the house sits on.

Now gearing up to build 3 more houses on same land plot. After that will aim for 7 new houses on one land plot a year.

Most unique land hack opportunity I’ve ever come across.

Nice.

I invest in real estate myself.

The live app I have is a property management app. It’s going a little slow right now because the property manager wants to wait until places are open to add them so they can have updated pictures. This could take a couple of years. Plus, it was my first app, so there are probably things I could do better.

But always make sure you have a good legal team behind you. You’ll run into problems you never could have imagined. A good legal team behind you will save a lot of headaches.

One of my businesses got sued last year. It was something that was obviously phony. But, it was cheaper to have insurance pay them $15k than to fight it in court. Not sure where you are, but here in the US it seems people are sue happy. It’s a shame to have to deal with this as a business owner, but I guess it’s a fact of life these days.

Good luck with your venture. Sounds like you’re doing good
