What are "links that point back to your Bubble app"

Build an app 2 years ago, been working perfectly and now this started happening (some months ago):

We haven’t changed ANYTHING on the emails, so it must be a change in how Bubble approves a “link that point back to your Bubble app”.

Can anyone help clarify what is within Bubble’s scope of approved links when using the native “Send email”? (We don’t have our own Sendgrid API key*)

Examples:

The app is hosted on its own domain. Let’s say mydomain.com

I am considering all these to be within limits of “you can only send emails that link back to your bubble app”. Is that correct?

We also in the mails refer to links to emails which is hosted on a different domain. Are these considered “links” in terms of being flagged by Bubble?

*Own Sendgrid API key: We do currently not have this setup. We wish to just continue with the simple setup.

Any help, tips, input is much appreciated :flexed_biceps:t3:

Do you remember how have you setup sendgrid? there must be account of sendgrid associated with the bubble + sendgrid setup?

Just setup the Sendgrid, it takes about 5-7 minutes and the basic plan is free.
We ran into the 100 daily limit without Sendgrid and I had to set it up quick-- I’d just click the link in the email and follow the manual.

I’d do that if it was that simple  However, our setup differs from the “follow the manual” way of doing things, so requires more work.

If anyone else encounters this problem:

The problem seems to be solved by taking out the email-links. Then the emails are going through correctly without the error-message.

I never setup a Sendgrid account for this app. Bubble uses Sendgrid to push their emails. It comes with a set of drawbacks (check the forum), but is a quick and easy way to set it up. Especially if you don’t have a lot of emails going out or need white-label email-address.
