What are some ways that Bubble is different than traditional software development approaches?

I am trying to understand how Bubble operates differently than traditional approaches to software development. If you have any input please add.

It turns out to be very comparable to traditional programming. The biggest adjustment for me was custom states instead of variables and workflows instead of functions. Other then that it’s basically a visual IDE.

Personally, the biggest downside to Bubble over traditional programming is that the hosting is wrapped up in Bubble so if your app needs HIPPA or other types of compliance you are at the mercy of Bubble Co. and/or out of luck.
