What is the "[API Name] response result data entry"?

When creating an API, I can set the data type of things to either “[API Name]” or “[API Name] response result data entry”.

Example:

I assume that choosing the name of the API (e.g. “LinkedIn - Pull Companie (OneAll)” from the screenshot above) will set the data type to whatever the API returns.

So how is that different to the “response result data entry” version (e.g. “LinkedIn - Pull Companie (OneAll) response result data entry” from the screenshot above)?

And how do they differ exactly?
