When I want to change a thing that has a dropdown with a dynamic choices I cannot get it to show up in as a default in the popup

The default value of your dropdown needs to be the same as the Type of choices. Hence, your default value should be a Risks data type only
How do I show a risk I have picked as part of a different data group? This would be in order to pick the same risk when editing the other data point if unchanged?

Do you have Risk (Type) field in Activation Points or Associated Resource?
Assumption: Activation Points and Associated Resource are Datatypes.
It would help if you can share Datatype architecture related to the issue mentioned.
