During the Bubble 2024 announcements, new expressions for workflows were showcased, but since then, we haven’t seen any updates on them. I feel Bubble keeps investing too much in AI, and basic features are being left aside.
I just hope this isn’t another feature that they start and don’t finish. I was really looking forward to this one. I don’t see the purpose of the update unless we have these features. ![]()
I can double check with the team but I don’t think you can expect to see this for the next few months at the very minimum. The teams are working on the property editor, Mobile editor and improving AI (besides the other teams working on infra, security, stability, etc).
If I remember correctly, the main justification for the controversial change in the layout of the workflow screen was precisely this, to allow the creation of these types of interactions, such as loops, conditionals, parallel actions…
And now there is no forecast… I can’t imagine the work it took to change this layout… how much effort was made… For an objective that has now kind of disappeared from the map
.
Can you check and update us in this topic? Thank you
Exactly! What a waste of resources for no improvement whatsoever. This seems to be the common theme around here unfortunately. Just a lot of drama for nothing.
Just checked our roadmap.
Definitely not happening now, and impossible to know beyond summer since things are moving fast. Might get worked on during the Fall or not depending on what other priorities come up.
In terms of this:
It’s important to remember that the Bubble ecosystem is very interconnected. So even if loops or branches doesn’t get worked on, the new WF tab design and all the tooling and upgrading of the tech stack in the backend does unlock other teams to do work in other areas of the editor.
That’s fine. I just wish they wouldn’t tell us something is coming and then drop the priority of it or sometimes drop it altogether.
Bubble has developed a reputation for setting ambitious goals—only to consistently fall short.
If you review the last few Bubblecon events, you’ll see an exciting list of upcoming features touted with enthusiasm. It’s easy to get excited about what’s supposedly coming to the editor.
But then the months pass, and very little is actually released. What does get released is often buggy and poorly supported—sometimes abandoned entirely within weeks.
Bubble would be better served by committing only to features they can reasonably deliver within the next 6–12 months. Fewer broken promises would mean fewer frustrated users.
- Set a high bar internally to stretch the team.
- Set a realistic bar externally to surprise and delight users—rather than repeatedly disappoint them.
These conditionals logics features are very important for Bubble development, so it’s disappointing that we have to wait until the Fall (maybe), especially since it was announced in 2024 with no updates until now.
But thanks for the fast response
