Hi Guys,

I understand that Bubble charges both the database room and workflow (Workload Unit).

So what would be the best practice here ? Pay for the WU or pay for the Database ?

Please advise and thanks

W-O

Bubble doesn’t charge for database storage.

Yeah bro bubble only charges as per workoad units. you get fixed amount of workload units and storage in each plan. you can increase the storage by 100GB for 3$ a month and workload units have different pricing too.

But file storage is used as database storage in bubble’s apps, no ?

it seems work units is more expensive than storage , isn’t it ?
I have exceed the WU last month due to some API looping workflow, and ouch , the bill was a bit surprising

Work load units is the measurment of work done by bubble for your application

No it’s not.

File storage is for uploaded files (nothing to do with the database).

I know what you meant.

But when an APP user clicked a button and “create a thing” , then the thing he created will show up in the App Data section. That thing will consume the File Storage , right ?

In this case, there is communication between the user and app file storage. The user can even “change the thing” later. In this case, the file storage is used as a database, no ? As it carries “store the thing, allow user to fetch the thing and manipulate the thing”
(Or I completely don’t understand what a database means ? )

Wrong.

No, there isn’t… there’s communication between the User and the Database (via the app server)… File storage is not involved here at all.

No.

You’re confusing file storage with the database here (they are 2 completely different things… and Bubble charges for file storage, but _not_ for database usage).
