I had a feature request from a customer requesting that they be able to add their own chatbots into our WhiteLabelled SaaS.
For context, our users are able to setup a Custom Domain with the help of CoAlias and invite their Team Members to the platform. Because this is a whitelabelled experience, they don’t want any branding or evidence of us. We have a support chatbot enabled that is only visible to the owner of the account. The account owners team members can have access to a support email and link that the account owner provides for them.
We’ve had a few requests now to allow the team owners to add their own chat bots for their team members. What I’m not sure of, is the security implications of this, does this leave us open if anyone were to drop melicious code? Or could they even do this?
Any insights or thoughts around this would be much appreciated as I’m not sure whether to allow this feature or not.
