Why I’m (Finally) Migrating off Bubble. AMA

Honestly, this will probably never happen…

it’s why the whole vibe code thing is a really crazy argument.

Most will never hit that wall because 50 or a hundred users won’t ever get them there.

Uber uses Cursor also, but they don’t enter a prompt and then go out for happy hour to drink some Margaritas and come back to a fully functional app…

they go over every bit of code that AI gave them, because they know the error rate can sometimes be crazy, and they have a lot of money at stake.

It’s like someone excited they built a garden shed in their backyard, while someone else built a 50-story building.

Different usage levels. And basically, until someone has been at that higher tier of having a very successful app, they’ll never quite understand the full argument.

We’re in a time when a 12-year-old can sit in their bedroom and build an app. Probably won’t go far, but you can’t argue with them that it’s not a real app.

So, basically, it just comes down to the experience you’ve had with successful apps :slightly_smiling_face:

A week ago, posted gemini a code, pasted the exact same thing back, 2 days ago, pasted a code to Claude, said something doesn’t exists, but it was in the first line. IMO, AI is in its most garbage state right now, best was GPT4.5, and gemini at that time.

Again only thing Zico can bet here is the progress, I don’t know either but I am sure Bubble will fall behind with this rate

Note: By behind, I mean relatively like if vibe-code is 20% now it will be 50%, and if bubble is 70% now it will be 72%. And when Bubble becomes 72%, probably new editor will be out and good, and they will be working on another very big editor update that progresses them to 74% in 5 years.

You should read up on COBOL. Will sound very familiar. Fun stuff.
