# Workflow doesn't wait API get data

Hello, I have a problem with the workflow chaining, I am trying to retrieve data via API in a chain in a successive manner. But it seems that [Bubble.io](http://Bubble.io) skips steps even if I use “result of step #”

Here is the sequence of steps :

Sometimes the result of the calculation is empty, as if it did not expect to retrieve the data via the API…
