Workflow usage warning

I originally asked for this to be changed because the old message included decimals, like “30,000.00,” which made the number look unnecessarily large.

But the new version is actually worse. It now shows the monthly max WU, and at a quick glance, it looks like I just used 250,000 WU — which is way more than I actually did.

The problem is that your eye is naturally drawn to the larger number — the 250,000 WU — rather than the much smaller 3%. Especially since “1 hr” and “250,000 WU” are vertically stacked, your brain processes it as: “I just used 250k WU in one hour.” It’s jarring and misleading.

1 hr
250,000 wu

A percentage is fine (though I still prefer the actual WU count), but the monthly max really isn’t necessary and just adds confusion.

Does anyone sanity check these changes? lol

Haha, this is news to me that you could even hover over that!

I will say Bubble has done a good job of keeping builders very notified when WUs get a little crazy with the emails and whatnot. Can’t imagine their Sendgrid bills.

It would be a cool feature to get a little smarter notifications. Like if it is a loop, it would be fairly consistent usage and looks like a flat WUs line, then have the message be a little more urgent / action needed. Versus if it’s user-generated, and the WUs are all spikey, then maybe it could be a little more upbeat, and like, hey, possibly good news, but still a heads up about the WUs.
