Workflows trigger external api calls at beginning instead of in the middle of workflow

We haven’t changed any workflows, but now…

All our workflows that have external api calls within them, are triggering the api calls at the beginning (start) of the workflow when they should be triggered in the middle of the workflow like how we configured them.
