WU Cost using multiple Do a Search for same Datatype

Hey Guys,

I want to display KPI Data. All the KPI Data are within one Datatype with no lists. Im only doing Count Operations. Whats more efficient? To do multiple do a search with constraints for every KPI i want to display or to create a RG and to filter for the Data?

Which way would cost more WU Data?

Give it a test. Could go either way depending on the data, the structure and number of kpi points required.

If it is just count though, it will be cheaper as separate searches because once have an RG populated and reference its values for count that costs same as do a search to get count, which means you’d have cost of populating RG when not necessary.

I will go with different “Do a Search” Operations. Makes more sense, when i dont need to count every entry.

When you say give it a test, how would you proceed? Im not sure where or if there is a possibility to track one displayed Search Operation and to track the WU or is it?

Create two different pages, each with the different setups…run one, wait a few minutes, check WU metrics then test the other page, again wait, check WU metrics and compare to see which was cheaper.
