Hey,
We’ve built a stock photo website using Bubble. One thing we didn’t consider is how many workflow units it would consume to load the images.
The images are in a repeating group, and we set it to load only 10 at a time. As you scroll down, 10 more load, and so on.
However, it still heavily consumes WU (workflow units).
For reference, we have ~2000 images now and are expanding quickly.
We’ve had 346 page visitors so far, and it has consumed 34K workflow units. Users tend to scroll a lot.
Do you have any tips on how to optimize so that fewer workflow units are consumed?
For WU, loading an image saved in an image or list of images field is akin to loading just a URL. That means it’s not the images contributing heavily to WU. You need to make your data type as light as possible / create a data type used just for search that contains the basic info you need to display before someone clicks on an image (image, keywords, photographer, date).
Check that you don’t have nested searches in the repeating group too.
