About me and my project — Doit4Me

Hi everyone,

My name is Marcos and I’m from Portugal.

I’m currently building Doit4Me, a platform designed to connect people who need technical help with technicians who can provide that help remotely or, when appropriate, in person.

The idea is somewhat inspired by platforms like Fiverr, but focused specifically on technical support. A user can describe a problem, find someone with the right skills, and get help through tools such as remote desktop, chat or other forms of remote assistance.

A little about me

I work in IT, mainly managing the IT infrastructure and systems of a company. I have experience with Windows, networks, SQL, ERP systems, databases, Excel, some Python and Visual FoxPro, among other things.

However, I am not a professional software developer and I had never worked seriously with Bubble before starting this project.

I chose Bubble because I wanted to see how far I could take an idea without having to become a full-stack developer first.

And honestly, I’ve learned a huge amount along the way.

Why I’m posting here

Doit4Me is now at a point where I would really like to get feedback from people who have more experience with Bubble and with building products.

I’m not looking for someone to simply build the project for me.

What I would really value is another person who can look at the project, understand the idea, point out problems I may not be seeing, and suggest better ways of doing things.

Sometimes, when you’re building something alone, you can spend hours trying to solve a problem in one particular way without realizing there is a much simpler solution.

That’s one of the things I’m trying to avoid.

I’m particularly interested in meeting Bubble developers or experienced Bubble users who would be interested in looking at the project, giving constructive feedback, and possibly collaborating in some way if there is a good fit.

Where the project is now

The platform already has several of the main pieces in place, including user accounts, technician profiles, searches, categories, languages, and other functionality.

There is still a lot to improve, and I know there are probably things that I’ve implemented in ways that could be much better.

That’s exactly why I’m interested in hearing from people with more Bubble experience.

If anyone is interested in taking a look at Doit4Me and sharing some honest, constructive feedback, I would be very happy to hear from you.

I’m especially interested in people who enjoy helping other builders improve their projects, rather than simply pointing out what’s wrong.
