Long-time software developer, author of Head First Java (and creator of the Head First programming books series for O’Reilly). The last ten years I’ve been doing physical rehabilitation with horses, and virtually zero programming. I designed a paper/pen tool for people to do assessments on their own horses (with another version for human athletes), but now it’s time to build it as an app. I started down the traditional web app dev road, with Firebase and VS Code. Painful, though; I’m used to building old-skool desktop apps.
After ten years away from programming, I did not realize “no code” was even a THING. Stumbled on No Code during YouTube Firebase binges, tried a few, hated them. Either too limiting or overly-complicated.
Then I found Bubble and somehow fell for it.
Now I’m in all-out learning and building mode.
