Just started on Bubble - as of July 2024. I’m looking to build working prototypes and potentially an MVP for my social media web app idea. Looking to hire so I can build faster but I am also learning as I go.

My background is in user/consumer research - I was a user researcher at Meta for 5 years before I was laid off (after I asked to be laid off, although I will never know if I would’ve been laid off anyway). Using the severance and personal funding I am working on my own startup projects.

Looking to employ rapid prototyping, currently working with these product building principles:

1. Fall in love with the customer problem, not the solution.
2. With MVPs, less is more - concierge MVPs, wizard-of-oz MVPs, piecemeal MVPs, single-feature MVPs, email MVPs are all valid and have led to unicorns.
3. Build prototypes, MVPs, features, not to get users, but to get learnings: does this thing provide the user value the team thought it would, what works, what doesn’t work.
4. Lean into what works, take learnings from what doesn’t, celebrate the wins.
5. Hours worked ≠ results. Motion ≠ progress.
6. Build smarter, not harder.
