Drag-and-drop Visual Smalltalk tried it back in 1990s, then Powerbuilder and Visual Basic. Then Java, Perl and the internet entered the arena and influenced the next generation of programming languages. Everything became so much more complicated afterwards. Object oriented Javascript?
