Adding navigation dots in a slideshow

Hello. Does anyone know how to add navigation dots in a slideshow that is made with a 1 x 1 repeating group? Just like the one in the screenshot. (Didnt use the plugin Slideshow because I want to have more control over the formating of the image.)
