Analytics Script Unique Identifier

I’m setting up UserPilot to track various analytics about my app. I need to supply a unique identifier for each user. (My question is not about privacy or GDPR or anything like that. I’ve already handled these items.)

I’m wondering if there is any reason to not use the current user’s unique ID to supply to UserPilot. It’s my understanding that this ID is already available on the user’s console anyhow so it is not a secure ID.

Has anyone else used UserPilot or similar tool for analytics?

It is secure as it can never be altered, so you should be fine using it.
