Branches should have their own database different from the “Main” (development) one. Why isn’t like this already?
Why? It’s not a huge issue, and you can always restore databases to a point in time if you want to experiment. I’d find it a pain in the ass dealing with like 4 databases.
Well let’s say that you are experimenting with changing values of FIELD 1 from THING 1 in BRANCH 1.
But at the same time you or your teammates are working in parallel off of MAIN branch, where FIELD 1 is the same as always.
If you edit values from BRANCH 1 you will see discrepancies in MAIN
Can’t the teammate just work on Thing 2 (literally any other Thing in the database) then if they don’t want to see changes from the other branch?
I think the best would be to have the option, like a checkbox “Create an associated database branch”
Because same as you, sometimes I need it, sometimes I just don’t @georgecollier
Fair enough! Doubt we’ll see it anytime soon though. But @hoke if it’s important to you the Ideaboard is the place to put it Suggest a Feature on the Bubble Ideaboard | Bubble
