Bubble AI and what it should look like

The bubble AI is very limited to say the least.

I’ve been testing other alternatives to bubble and I am very impressed by how they have integrated AI into their platforms. Here is weweb and how they do it - it’s killer. Supabase is another great example.

Basically you can add relevant bits of information into the AI and then prompt it. Here I need to write a switch statement to dynamically swap icons based on the input text. It’s a fairly simple statement but requires a bit of work to write it manually as I’d have to look up each icon id. AI handles this quickly.

I’d love to see something like this in bubble soon.

I’ve been thinking about how easy it should be to plug different AI models into Bubble workflows. What helped me visualize a more open approach for this is https://openeverything.us/ — their ideas around connecting tools and letting people build freely really line up with what I’d love to see in Bubble’s AI direction.

vibe coding plus = AI + visual editor

WeWeb + Supabase are definitely a good combination in this regard.

v0 has just added visual UI editor.

More and more vibe coding tools will be adding that feature.

Bubble really needs to step up its AI game.
