Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Bubble.io developer with deep knowledge of Stripe Connect (Standard accounts) and Stripe API integration, particularly for custom ACH payment flows using Bubble’s API Connector (not plugins).

This is not a full rebuild — the core setup is already in place.

Project Status:

We already have:

  • :white_check_mark: Stripe Connect working (OAuth + account creation + payouts)
  • :white_check_mark: Stripe Dashboard configured with ACH, Tax, and Financial Connections
  • :white_check_mark: API Connector partially configured
  • :white_check_mark: Bubble database and workflows storing customer/connected account data

Your Tasks:

  1. Complete API Connector Integration
  • Finalize two flows:
    • ACH Checkout (with Financial Connections)
    • Credit Card Checkout
  • Use dynamic Bubble fields (amount, stripe_customer_id, connected_account_id)
  1. Fix Authorization & Formatting
  • Resolve header issues (Bearer rk_...)
  • Ensure content type and JSON formatting are correct for Stripe
  1. Enable Financial Connections
  • Collect bank account details for ACH without Plaid
  • Enable permissions for "payment_method" and "balances"
  1. Support Stripe Tax + Application Fees
  • Add automatic tax to Checkout Sessions
  • Apply platform fee using application_fee_amount
  1. Webhook Finalization
  • Set up or refine backend workflows for:
    • checkout.session.completed
    • payment_intent.succeeded
    • payment_intent.processing
  • Update orders based on Stripe events
  1. Test and Validate
  • Test in Stripe test mode
  • Ensure robust handling of payment logic and response updates

Requirements:

  • :white_check_mark: Expert-level Bubble experience (especially API Connector)
  • :white_check_mark: Proven Stripe Connect implementation work
  • :white_check_mark: Comfortable with custom payment flows (not plugin-based)
  • :white_check_mark: Fluent English communication skills (written + spoken)
  • :white_check_mark: Able to start immediately and deliver quickly
