Cannot change the drop down icon of the element in the styler

I am picking this up from a previous developer and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the drop down icon in the appearance section of either the item or the element. It doesn’t seem to show up at all in the editor until I preview it.

It’s probably something small that I’m missing but it’s driving me nuts.

You can build a custom dropdown and style it to your liking.

I searched for it in the element tree but I can’t find any custom styling noted in there.

I’ve been reviewing this documentation, but it implies that there has already been a custom icon added to the group. I’m not seeing it in the group within the editor, nor can I add a new custom icon on top of it. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, though?
