Can't pay and can't launch

I’ve tried upgrading from the Free plan dozens of times, utilizing 3 different credit cards from two different banks. Every time I try, I get a “Declined” message. I’ve checked with my bank and they say there’s no holds on my account and they’re not seeing the full request come through.

This is preventing me from developing some features, and terribly, I’m not able to launch. I’ve been having this issue for almost a month and have reached out to tech support many times, but nobody every has an answer for me. Anybody else having this same problem?

Hi. I use a service called Privacy, which links my banks, and allows me to make virtual cards that can be used anywhere with custom spending limits. Unfortunately, it only works for US based customers:

Who can use Privacy and do you need a bank account?
Privacy is currently available to US citizens or legal residents with a checking account at a US bank or credit union, and who are 18+ years of age.

Another alternative is IronVest.

That sucks… Bubble’s stopping you giving them money. Could you maybe duplicate the app and try on the duplicated app, in case something in the app is busted on Bubble’s side?

I just tried a virtual card and that didn’t work either. Bubble is still declining the payment.

Good find? I’m sharing the service that I utilize. If anyone doesn’t want to use it just go to Privacy.com. Just a simple google search.

With virtual cards an address or location doesn’t matter (least I think it may need to be a US based address or it may fail – never tried an outside US address myself).

Hey, so check out your declines on Privacy or IronVest to see why the card was declined. They give you a better run-down of why it didn’t go through. Usually this would indicate an issue with your bank itself, likely thinking it could be a fraudulent order.

I just set everything up for Privacy.com, tried to charge through that virtual card, and it doesn’t transfer into the Privacy.com site as a Decline. Shows nothing even though it says declined on Bubble.

Your account could be flagged as fraudulent. I’d try a VPN and a new account possibly for now to see if that works, or wait until tomorrow and message support@bubble.io and I’m sure they’ll get you setup so it’ll work.

I’ve been trying to get support to help me for three weeks. Always escalated to another team, who has too much on their plate to even contact me. It’s been a real fun time. All the while I can’t launch. Are there any better no code options out there?

They won’t let me duplicate the app.

As a follow-up, they got back to me today after almost a month. They mistakenly had blocked me from paying because the template I used had been blocked previously for anti-abuse. They lifted the ban and I was able to pay! Woot! Time to launch.
