🚀 Could an AI business mentor help founders actually finish what they start?

Hey,

I’ve noticed that most tools focus on metrics or idea validation, but what if you had an AI business mentor that actually guides you step by step and leads you to your goal?

That’s exactly why I built Voltrex AI. Its core is a smart mentor that:

  1. Recommends your next actions (“Now it’s time to draft your pricing page”)

  2. Delivers ready-to-use workflows (pitch decks, onboarding sequences, user interview guides)

  3. Tracks milestones and flags any roadblocks so you stay on course

I think this could be genuinely useful for many founders here. I’d love to hear from you:

  • Which stage of your SaaS journey feels most aimless or overwhelming?

  • How do you think an always-on AI mentor might change your workflow?

  • Would you use this tool?

Pricing:

- Free basics

  • 14-day trial
  • 50% off this month with code VOLTREX50

My co-founder and I have toyed with an AI C Suite for the last 5 months using custom GPTs. They’re pretty good, as long as the context is provided and in window. Helps with decks and especially useful for checking blindspots.

That said, what can you offer that a good founder can setup on their own? I’ve tried around 6 different similar services and they all fell flat. they offer nothing different from the mainstream LLMs. Here are my gripes:

  • Gimicky: AI avatars are cool and all but what’s the point if they respond like any other LLM chat?
  • No output: Some might generate tasks based off a chat session but they offer nothing else. I do that with ChatGPT everyday, at least it connects to my Google Workspace.
  • No structure: It’s very obvious that the people who build these things have no idea about project management. I wouldn’t trust them to have engineered the correct context to serve a business.

I tried yours…

  1. You should at the very least spend money on a proper domain if you’re going to charge those prices.
  2. At first glance it’s like any other LLM chat. If you’re catering to founders then the tools should be front and center.
  3. Also, I have no idea how I can create tasks. It looks greyed out. If you’re trying to rope users in with a free plan then you’re going to need to allow free users access to some USPs.
  4. You should fix the typo in the Sign Up page.

Later this year, I’ll be upgrading our AI C-Suite to n8n so they can do actual work along with us. With better memory management supported by proper metadata and data ingest processes. Importantly, I can do it for peanuts.

If you’re appealing to serious founders then you’re going to have to offer better.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, it really helped me see some of the flaws in the app. I’ll rethink parts of the design, some of the functionality, and also the pricing.

About the context window: I’ve improved it by making the AI summarize past conversations at intervals and saving those summaries in the database. This way it can remember older details more accurately.

I also believe Voltrex AI adds value compared to plain ChatGPT because it runs on a stronger model, uses a consistent instruction prompt throughout the chat, and starts with a short quiz that helps the AI better understand the user. And with the improved context handling, the experience should feel more tailored.

Of course, ChatGPT on its own is powerful, but many people can’t or don’t want to spend time crafting the perfect prompts. Voltrex AI aims to make that easier and more effective.

Thanks again for pointing these things out, I’ll keep improving a lot.
