[Critical message] Your app is affected by Google Play's requirements on 16 kB page sizes

To ensure that your app works properly on the latest versions of Android, Google Play requires that all apps intended for Android 15 and later versions support 16 kB memory page sizes.

As of May 1, 2026, if your app updates do not support 16 kB memory page sizes, you will not be able to release them.

I open a ticket to report it.

thanks for the flag!

Interesting, because all the reports I’ve seen say November 1 of this year. I’m wondering if you’re referencing a grace period?

It would seem, and I would guess Bubble already knows about this and is taking the proper steps. I can’t imagine they wouldn’t know about it.

Also, any plugin made with native code for mobile will need to be updated.

Hi!

It’s a message that has just left for the affected apps, so I think they’ve heard about it too right now.

The November period refers to API version 15, which was already resolved last month, this is a new warning.

Ok, that’s good because it means the Bubble team has evidently fixed the api 35 issue, so they’re obviously aware of this.

We may have accidentally sent you an email with an incorrect deadline. The correct deadline is 1 nov 2025.

This is a new message from Google Play. The deadline was incorrect.

Thanks for posting his, we just launched our app and received this same notification…appreciate the replies but I’m still confused. Is this something that Bubble has fixed/updated already or is there something coming, or some action we need to take? I’ve reached out to Bubble support but haven’t heard back.
