Does anyone have an idea on how to disable the prt scr key as I would like to block users from using the function on my web app due to confidentiality purposes?
That’s not possible because the a website doesn’t have the access to block system functionality.
If you google it you can find people trying to listen to the right combination of keypress and override the clipboard with random text, but of course the user can change the print shortcut and you are out of luck. In mobile you would have a similar problem.
At the end of the day you need to consider that any data that reach the browser will be available to copy for the user. All it takes is a simple photograph of the screen with an external camera.
