Does anyone know why "&" character turns red?

I am using the API connector to make a POST request to an API. In the body of the JSON I need to include an url that contains querystring params. For some reason the “&” in the string of the URL turns red.

Does anyone know why this happens?

I think it’s just visual it won’t actually do anything
