Did anyone else hear that Figma launched their MCP server in dev mode?
Hopefully Bubble will provide some integration for their AI builder (not that I’m using it) so that the styling of what it outputs matches your own design / follows your design system.
If it did, I might be tempted to use it with confidence the UI would be good but then again I don’t see the point of developing a “whole app” from a prompt
@rjwilkinson10 reading through that I am not 100% sure what this does for us as individual developers on Bubble, but I think what it does is allows Bubble to leverage what Figma has done to make the Bubble LLM better. Do you have insight into what this announcement may mean for Bubble and Bubble users?
What I am really hoping from Bubble announcement is that I can provide a link to the figma file and then Bubble AI can create the exact layout with all the correct element types inside of Bubble for me. I wouldn’t mind if that was needed to be done on a page by page or reusable by reusable basis, but if Bubble can make it so that their AI can allow us to feed a simple link to a Figma file and create that same design in the Bubble app, I’d be using Bubble AI in every single thing I build in Bubble.
Anything short of that I think will be a disappointment. I want to be done with design.
Exactly this @boston85719! I don’t have any inside information but I really hope the teased announcement is about connecting Bubble AI with Figma (through MCP) so when we use AI, the output stays aligned with our actual design system.
At this moment I don’t want to use Bubble’s AI builder to create an entire app I want to use it as a co-pilot to support my build process but that only works if the design output matches the system I’m already using.
