I’m trying to publish an update for my native app on Google Play Console and I’ve encountered a critical warning/error. Google Play indicates that, starting from August 30, 2025, my app must target Android 15 (API Level 35) or higher. My current build doesn’t meet this requirement, which will prevent me from publishing future updates.
The exact message from Google Play is: “Your app must target Android 15 (API level 35) or higher Status: You won’t be able to publish app updates Deadline: Aug 30, 2025”
My question is:
How can I update the Target API Level of my native app to 35 (or higher) directly from the build settings in Bubble.io? I’ve checked the “Native Mobile App” / “Global mobile settings” sections, but I’m unsure where or how to make this specific change to comply with API 35.
If anyone has faced this issue already and found a solution, could you please share detailed steps or point me to where this option is located in Bubble? Any guidance, even regarding potential compatibility considerations when updating to API 35, would be greatly appreciated.
No action is required on your part.. there are also other threads on this topic. The engineering team has to think about it. I am aware of this element and they are working on it.
I spoke with the support. The engineers are working on it. They don’t have a release date but they have assured that by the August 31 deadline everything will be resolved on their side and they will warn us so that we can launch the builds. I remind you that it is possible to extend the deadline of August 31 on the Play store until November.. I did it to be calm.
Hi everyone, we made the adjustment on our end to satisfy this warning. Please submit a new build before the August 31 deadline. Note: you may still see this warning if you have other, older bundles submitted that may be in violation but the latest build should be compliant. Please let us know if you are seeing otherwise
